The college of medicine and health sciences students are fully engaged in a professional internship at an early stage of their academics. It involves working with health professionals directly in Rwanda's private and public health facilities. The students start to gain appropriate hand on practices at the initial stage of their academics, which empowers them to become future health professionals with adequate skills to support the community where they get exposed to the management of different diseases. Internships are done differently based on the nature of a given student's discipline. All students must carry out an internship program throughout their academic period.
